10 POINTS SUMMARY FROM THE WORKSHOP AT WUKARI
Ten (10) Points Summary from the Workshop at Wukari, Taraba State, Nigeria.
1. Do like the prodigal son: When you realise that you are not doing well, do you like the prodigal son. Come to your senses. Stop! Return back to the Father.
2. Realize your weakness. Apply Psalms 1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
(Psalms 1:1-2)
- No longer walk in the counsel of the ungodly;
- Stop standing in the way of sinners;
- Do not sit in the seat of the scornful;
- Have delight in the law of the Lord;
- Meditate on it day and night.
3. Keep Ethnicity Aside: Ethnicity must be dropped completely to work together in agreement to promote the Kingdom
Grace, not Race
Scriptures, not Culture
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
(Galatians 3:27-29)
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands
(Rev. 7:9)
4. Know what God wants to be done: God’s people perish, not because of lack of prayer but knowledge. When we know, we will know what we do. Now we know, we must do it as God has directed.
5. I-Too-Know Does not promote Walking together in agreement: Two cannot walk together when one has too much knowledge
6. Young preachers, carve your niche: Young preachers – change the narrative of the perceived issues amongst the older preachers. Allow them to do what they are doing. Do what you ought to do as commanded by the Lord.
7. Young people, identify and fill the Gaps: Why complain, do the one they are not doing – show a pattern – fill the gap. Remember the parable of the tares. Good and bad people will continue to be in the Kingdom till He comes to separate them.
8. Know your Purpose. Identify your purpose in the Kingdom. Identify each person’s purpose in the Church. By this, leaders will know how to both carry out their roles and lead others to do so.
9. Recognize your circle: Work with those who agree with you. However, let that agreement be in the Word/Scriptures alone.
10. Know the simplest Truth: Not all have an interest in going to Heaven. Do not follow them where they are going.
Two will work together when they agree.
