2024 – ABAGANA, ANAMBRA STATE
The report on the Christian Leadership Nexus Workshop held at Abagana, Anambra is here presented.
The Christian Leadership Nexus Workshop, in affiliation with the Church of Christ, Abagana, Anamabra State, was held on the 24th Day of January 2024.
The Workshop Theme was “Developing Christian Leaders”. Two topics were discussed. They topics focused on (i) Developing Christian Leaders from the Self-front, and (ii) Developing Christian Leaders from the Home-front.
Participants came from within Anamabra State, Delta State, among others. The participants were well-fed to the glory of God.
All the expected resource persons attended and taught impactful lessons. There were also healthy interactions that saw leaders resolving to work to develop Christian leaders through developing self and the home. for the furtherance of the Kingdom. To God be the glory.
The highlights of the Workshop are as follows:
- Leaders must improve their lifestyles.
- Self-trimming/discipline is important to be a better leader who will influence others.
- “Drag” your family, especially the young, to God – it is your responsibility.
- You must be an epitome of morality for others to follow, especially your children.
- Do self-analysis always.
- Let’s lead our wives to key into our God-given vision for the home.
- Convert the small church (home) first.
- Beware of the kind of schools you enrol your children.
- If your family (or self) is not a reference point for good, you have no business in Church leadership.
- Discipline yourself first to lead others.
- Major less on doctrine, and delve more on attitudes.
- Apply empathy in leading others.
- Money management – beware!
- Don’t say “do as I say…”. Say “Day do as I do.”
- If the self is not having influence, go back to the drawing board.
- Examine your teaching and whether your character is in tandem with it.
- Let your children have a skill, especially your skill.
