2023 – UGWUACHARA, ABAKALIKI, EBONYI STATE
The report on the Christian Leadership Nexus Workshop held at Abakaliki is here presented.
The Christian Leadership Nexus Workshop, in affiliation with the Church of Christ, Ugwuachara, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, was held on the 21st Day of October 2023.
The Workshop Theme, taken from Amos 3:3, on the realisation of the need to call leaders’ attention to the need to work together for the growth and expansion of the Kingdom was “Can Two Walk Together Unless They Agree?”
All the expected resource persons attended and taught impactful lessons. There were also healthy interactions that saw leaders resolving to work together spiritually, socially, economically, and otherwise for the furtherance of the Kingdom. To God be the glory.
A total of Twenty-seven (27) congregations attended the workshop, with an attendance of 97 persons, made up of 81 adults/leaders and 16 children. The participants were well-fed to the glory of God.
The highlights of the Workshop are as follows:
- Healthy interactions on the issue of working together for the growth of the Kingdom
- The realisation that leaders have not been working together to promote the Kingdom
- Resolution of leaders to work together for the furtherance of the growth of the Church.
- It was agreed that patronage of each other based on trust, in our careers, skills, professions, etc., will be a strong bond that will guarantee our working together for growth. Leaders resolved to take this into action for the good of one another and the Kingdom.
- The giving of an Award, tagged “Charismatic Leadership Award”, in recognition of outstanding leadership in Ebonyi State, specifically, and beyond. The award was received by Bro. Abam, Okoi Oka, the Provost of the CSMT School of Biblical Studies, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Overall, it was a fruitful Workshop. The Ugwuachara congregation is grateful for this Workshop and appeals that the sponsorship for the hosting of this programme is sustained. This will be a great booster to the growth of the Kingdom in this region and at large. We give God the glory for this effort. To Him alone be the praise of the saints forever and ever, Amen.
